So, I hear you just got engaged and are throwing an engagement party. That’s awesome, engagement parties are a hoot! It’s like a mini wedding without all that stress that usually comes with a wedding (not saying that weddings aren’t amazing, because they are!). It’s the perfect opportunity to celebrate your love with family and friends in a more relaxed way, and who doesn’t love that?
Covering an engagement party is a bit different than a wedding. Sure you might have a kick-ass outfit and cute decorations, but this event is not about decorations and formalities – it’s all about the people.
Okay, so what do you capture?
For engagement parties I usually capture the following:
Some portraits and you and your future spouse before everything kicks off!
Often a few family photos
Any formalities (most of the time there will be one or two speeches, on occasion cake cutting, or anything else of the sort)
But mainly just candids galore! People enjoying themselves, laughing, chatting, dancing!
My basic package includes 2 hours of coverage, but additional hours can be added on request.
You get at least 90 photos per hour of shooting. All edited, all done.

Ok, how does this work?
01. Book it in
If all sounds good, it’s time to get things in order. To lock in a date I require a signed contract + a 50% retainer to lock in the date.
03. Pre-party questionnaire
When you book I’ll send you a questionnaire too with more details about the day: what you care about, what you don’t care about. Ill check in closer to the date so I know I have all the info I need!
03. It’s time to party
It’s about to go down! Most of the time I stay in the background and capture things as they happen. I’m not here to stage anything. And for the 10 min of portraits we usually squeeze in I use direction, not posing. This means things to do or things to talk about. Unposed, unfussed, easy!
06. Sneak peeks the next day
You get the first few photos the very next day! Cause who can wait? I surely can’t!
07. All photos within 2 weeks
The rest of the photos take a little bit longer: you’ll have them all, print-ready + web-ready, within 2 weeks of the wedding. You get them all in this snazzy online gallery!

I’m a planner by heart. I have lists everywhere (just ask my husband..) and like to be as prepared as I can be. Because on the day I want to know that we’re picking the acest of locations and making the most out of the time we have for portraits. It’s your wedding day, not a shoot after all. That is what it’s about after all! All my wedding packages always include the following:
Me as your photographer for the event for as many hours as you need me (of course!)
A handful of edited sneak peeks within a day of the event!
You get all the good photos from the day, which is usually 90 per hour of shooting.
They’re all edited: I’ll make sure the colours and feel are on point!
You’ll get the full set of photos delivered in an online gallery which have both high resolution print-ready photos as well as web-sized ones ready for sharing online.
All you need to do is pick the number of hours you want!

Two hours is usually enough to capture a few portraits before, the hugs and love when people arrive to people mingling and enjoying themselves and any potential early speeches, cake cuts etc.
Extra hours
350 per hour
When you want a little bit more. I can be there capturing you getting ready, or stay on for some crazy dancing later in the night! No problem at all! I’ll stay as long as you need me. Additional time can be booked in blocks of 30 min.
Travel
Anything within a 50km radius of Melbourne is included.
Between 50km – 200km, there’s a $1 per km fee.
For events further than 200km there is a $300 flat fee.
